Si tranny?

on nippon-motors's website, it says to specify between 20, and 21 splines. which one do i want for my ZC? and also its the L3 correct?

Yeah Dude...i think all d-series USDM Civic trannies are L3, regardless...so don't screw up and get a 4-speed or an HF tranny.
21 splines I am pretty sure. the 20 splines are from the 4-speed STD hatches.

I dont know which is which, but they may have to do w/ the 88's vs the 89-91's since the 88's had a different number of spline's....I kinda think the 88's had 20, but dont really know...

On the page it states:
Question: What clutch to use for zc with zc trans?
?First, see if its 20 or 21 spline (input shaft). If its 21, then you have to use an 1988 clutch.? If its 20 spline, then measure the disc.
If the disc is just under 8" use an 1989, if its around 8 3/4" use a 1990-91 clutch.
Crap, i just noticed thats for the ZC tranny, oh well maybe the info will still help.

well i can help, you would have to call long diss but i no a guy that does this all the time and he can tell you call lee's high tech performance ask for john # is 1-727-344-1800, he a\has been doing swapes for ever around here in fl. well good luck.
